Day 1 Enter Beijing
Pick you up from your cruisee at Tianjin Port and transfer to hotel in Beijing by our private English-speaking guide and driver.
Day 2 Beijing (B/L)
Visit the two symbolic attractions in the city center: Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City imperial palace. After lunch, explore old Beijing neighbourhood in Hutongs. Take a interesting rickshaw ride as well as pay a visit to local Hutong family.
Day 3 Beijing (B/L)
Drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall in the suburb. This wall section boasts the most beautiful scenery and is less crowded. Round way cable car (or cable car up & toboggan down) is arranged. Back downtown to visit another majestic imperial architecture-Temple of Heaven.
Day 4 Beijing-Xian (B/L)
Spend a pleasant morning in the beautiful Summer Palace royal garden. Drive to Beijing airport; on the way drop by an exterior visit to the novel Bird’s Nest & Water Cube in Olympic Park.
Fly to Xian; upon arrival, Xian airport to hotel transfer.
Day 5 Xian (B/L)
Today, witness one of the greatest discovery of 20 century –Terracotta Warriors. It is so stunning to stand before the grand life-size underground army. Back downtown to visit the beautiful Buddhist architecture, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, perfect for photos.
Day 6 Xian-Kunming (B/L)
As the capital of ancient China, it is good place to learn about China history. The Shaanxi History Museum is the one you can not miss. Standing at the top of Ancient City Wall, you could have a bird’s view of the city. It brings lot of fun by cycling on the Wall (bike rental fee excluded).
Fly to Kunming. Upon arrival, Kunming airport to hotel transfer.
Day 7 Kunming (B/L)
The Stone Forest was formed by various shapes of karst stones due to millions of years’ movement of Earth. The area is the home of the Sani people whose folk customs and culture will surely leave you a deep impression. Jiuxiang Caves are situated in Jiuxiang Township. Inside the cave are many well-developed and wonderful stalactites and stalagmites, which look like pretty fairies welcoming their guests.
Day 8 Kunming-Lijiang (B/L)
Fly to Lijiang; Lijiang airport to hotel transfer upon arrival. Visit Lijiang Ancient Town, a well-preserved minority ancient city, located more than 2400 meters high above sea level. It enjoys beautiful scenes, an famous city with long history and splendid culture.
Day 9 Lijiang (B/L)
Jade Dragon Mountain is the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a sanctuary for rare animals and wild plants. We will take China’s highest cable car up. The cable car will take you into the clouds, reaching a real paradise. Baisha Murals at Baisha Village were painted over a thousand years ago. The murals displays the life stories of the Tibet Buddhism, Confucian and Taoism.
Day10 Lijiang-Shangri-la (B/L)
Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges.
Take our private car to Shangri-La. Overnight in Shangri-La.
Day 11 Shangri-la (B/L)
Shangri-La is a beautiful county with Tibetan Buddhist culture. We will first visit the Pudacuo National Park with virgin forest. It is home to a variety of trees, wild animals such as bears, golden cats, deer and pheasants.The must-see scenery in this park includes Lake Bita and Lake Shudu. Then move on to the Songzanlin Lamasery, which is the largest Tibetan Buddhist lamasery in Yunnan Province. Songzanlin was built in the style of Potala Palace in Lhasa.
Day 12 Shangri-la-Shanghai (B/L)
Fly to Shanghai. Shanghai is not only modern. Today we will discover its past by the historic attractions. Come to the Bund. The waterfront retains the various foreign style builings of the city’s colonial period. Then move on to Xintiandi, an entertainment area featuring traditional Shikumen houses that were transformed into restaurants, boutiques, bars and cafes. Take a walking tour in the former French concession, where locates important historical buildings, such as the former residence of Sun Yat-sen, Zhou Enlai, Fuxing Park, Moller Villa, Lilac Garden, Notre Dame Cathedral and countless French colonial style buildings.
Day 13 Shanghai (B/L)
Shanghai Museum is a first-rate museum of ancient China arts. It displays collections of bronzes, sculptures, ceramics and porcelain, paintings, calligraphy, seals, jade, coins, furniture, etc. Yuyuan Garden is a beautiful Suzhou style classic garden of the Ming Dynasty, located in the center of the old quarters of Shanghai. A short walk from the Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is a fascinating display of Shanghai’s development and future. It is highlighted by the giant model of the city. The observation deck of Shanghai World Financial Center at 474 m high offers amazing view of the city.
Day14 Depart Shanghai (B)
